Skill Pathways
Learning & Development (L&D) is excited to share the launch of the Skill Pathways training program, an effort aimed at strengthening our internal talent pipeline, enhancing employee engagement, and aligning our workforce capabilities with evolving organizational needs.
Overview
The Skill Pathway Training Program is a structured, multi-tiered learning framework that offers staff opportunities to build and enhance transferrable skills.
Skill selection was based on input from MPPs, staff, and workforce needs assessment, and are relevant across all classifications and work environments.
Module Components include:
- E-course
- Online skill assessment and online trainings
- In-person workshop
- Action plan & conversation guide for employee and Appropriate Administrator for emphasis on continuous learning.
Skill Pathways are stand-alone training modules and staff do not need to take all of them nor in a particular order.

- Encourage participation of staff who could benefit from one or more Skill Pathway modules.
- Provide time to enable staff to complete the e-course, related online trainings, and instructor-led workshop.
- Support application of learning post-module by creating opportunities for participants to share their Action Plan and practice new skills.
