The Chancellor's Office, in partnership with Sacramento State’s College of Continuing Education (CCE), is excited to offer Google Career Certificates at no cost for a limited time to Sacramento State employees.

Key Details

• Time commitment:
  • Google Career Certificates: 3–6 months to complete (approximately 10 hours per week)
  • A.I. Courses: approximately 1 month to complete

  • Please meet with your manager to discuss your interest in attending any of the training courses.

• Flexible learning: courses are self-paced with adjustable deadlines
• Staying active: make regular progress to remain registered.

Getting Started

1. Visit the Sacramento State Google Career Certificates website and submit your interest form: https://cce.csus.edu/google-credential-certificates
2. Access begins: October 1, 2025
3. Enter your referral code HRLD25F on the form
4. Watch for an email invitation (within 5–7 days, if space is available) to join the learning platform Coursera and begin your certificate.
5. Please note: access is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Seats are limited. Each learner will have access for a set program duration as determined by the College of Continuing Education. Once that period ends, the seat will be reassigned.

Use for career development

• While Sacramento State is not a Google campus (Google Suite is not officially supported by IRT or included in the IRT Software Catalog), many of the skills learned are transferable to other platforms. For example, developing strong AI prompts in Google AI can also enhance your use of Sac State supported tools like ChatGPT Edu.
• This certificate can serve as a valuable part of your career development plan. Earning certificates demonstrates initiative, a willingness to learn, and a growth mindset—qualities that can strengthen your competitiveness for on-campus job opportunities.
