Curriculum Deadlines

The 2025-2026 AY Deadline Memo (Deadlines for Curriculum) was sent to Department Chairs, Associate Deans, and Deans on April 14, 2025.

Below are approval deadlines for Course Proposals and Program Proposals for the 2026-2027 University Catalog. Program and course proposals that are not approved by the catalog deadline will be implemented in the following catalog (2027-2028).

The Curriculum Workflow software is scheduled for a major update in summer of 2025. In preparation for this update, all course and program proposals must be out of workflow by the end of the Spring 2025 semester. Submissions for course and program proposals will be cut off on Friday, March 21, 2025 and any proposals still in Workflow on May 21, 2025 will be rolled back to the author.

Deadlines:

All course and program changes must be approved by all appropriate bodies (Curriculum Subcommittee, Council for the Preparation of School Personnel*, General Education Subcommittee*, Senate Executive Committee*, Faculty Senate*, the President*, and the Chancellor's Office*) no later than February 06, 2026 (November 18, 2025 Curriculum Subcommittee meeting). Proposals that are not approved by all appropriate bodies by the February 06, 2026 deadline will be changed for implementation into the following catalog year.

Note: for proposals to be added to any of the Curriculum Subcommittee agendas, they must be with Academic Services in Curriculum Workflow by the outlined deadlines listed below.

The Curriculum Subcommittee meets from 1:30 PM to 2:50 PM on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month during the AY (typically not in December, January or May).
